Pinocchio decided to stroll through the canals of Venice with me.
The city of Venice is one of the most beautiful in the world, with its canals and bridges that make it unique. That's why it has always served as inspiration for so many artists.
Venice is the place of puppets and that's why I made a point of keeping him in Venice despite knowing that he was born in Collodi, a small village in Tuscany. It was since I visited Collodi that I liked having Pinocchio in my paintings, after all, everyone knows Pinocchio and we all have something of Pinoccho.
